Jacqueline Tung, O.D.
Dr. Tung received her doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and her training at the Veteran's Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.  Dr. Tung has been practicing for over ten years.  Dr. Tung has experience in a variety of different practice settings, including LASIK clinics, corporate offices, ophthalmology practices, and the private practice she currently manages.  Dr Tung is experienced in the areas of ocular diseases, low vision, primary eye care, glaucoma, pediatrics, keratoconus, Ortho-K, and specialty contact lenses, as wellas vision therapy. In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Tung holds volunteer experience for the underserved in Bulgaria with the organization OneSight (formerly Give the Gift of Sight).

FLEXIBLE HOURS

We are opened six days a week with extended evening hours on Tuesdays (Foster City) and Wednesdays (Newark), so you can swing by after work or during your lunch break.  We're also open on Saturdays, in case you're struggling to find time out of your busy weekday schedule.

CONVENIENT LOCATION

We have two convenient locations servicing the East Bay and the Peninsula area.  
Our first location is right in the middle of Foster City, neighboring the city of San Mateo, an easy access off highways 101 and 92 .  Our second location is right off the Stevenson Blvd. exit off I-880, directly across from the Hilton Double Tree Hotel, adjacent to the NewPark mall, .

Dr. Jacqueline Tung O.D.

Dr. Tung has been practicing optometry since she was a fresh faced graduate, and has been operating Eye Health Optometry since 2012.

Young and energetic, Dr. Tung will always have a smile for you, and guarantees that you will be able to see it perfectly!

Dr. Tung received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry, before completing her Doctor of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry.  

Dr. Tung has extensive clinical training through the Veteran Hospital in Gainsville, Florida; the Katzen eye group in Maryland; and the Eye Institute in Pennsylvania, the LASIK eye centers, and Vision Therapy in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Tung's primary interests are preventative eye care and specialty contact lenses fitting, as well as treatment and diagnosis of various eye conditions/ diseases. She is an expert on difficult-to-fit contact lens cases, such as Keratoconus contact lens fitting i.e. scleral lens and Karasoft IC, and  
orthokeratology, CRT, ortho- K (overnight corneal reshaping contact lenses to correct nearsightedness).

Dr. Tung is an active member of the San Mateo County Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Give the Gift of Sight.

​Dr. Wayne Halstrom O.D.

Dr. Halstrom has been in practice in the Bay Area for the past 30 years. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from UC Berkeley with highest honors as well as a membership in Phi Beta Kappa.

He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley. In his final year of studies, he was a teaching assistant for Dr. Merton Flom, a world renowned expert in binocular vision. His current practice is general optometry with emphasis on contact lenses.

Dr. Halstrom has had offices at Newpark Mall from 1993 to 2014. He relocated to 5749 Stevenson Blvd in 2014.

Dr. Halstrom has been a member in good standing with the California Optometric Association for over 20 years.

In his spare time, Dr. Halstrom enjoys hiking, biking, gardening and skiing.
